Service, Leadership, and Community Vision

Kelvin is a proud native of Eutaw, Alabama and is  dedicated to building opportunity in Greene County. After graduating from Eutaw High School, Kelvin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Over a distinguished 20-year career he served in various leadership roles across the globe, including assignments in Japan, the United Kingdom, West Africa, Thailand, and throughout the United States. His military service instilled values of accountability, discipline, and mission-focused leadership that continue to guide his work today.

Kelvin’s commitment to excellence is reflected in his education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Business Management from Troy University, and a Master’s in Information Resource Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. After retiring, he continued serving the nation in Cyber Operations as a Department of Defense Civil Servant and contractor.

Returning home to Greene County, Kelvin brought his leadership and vision to local enterprise. He is CEO of Colvin & Daniel Trucking LLC (Greene County Carriers) and owner of Rooted Farms LLC, advancing sustainable agriculture and rural development in the Black Belt. He proudly serves on the Eutaw Elderly Village Board, as Vice President of the Alabama Black Belt Food Systems Alliance, and as Chairman of the Greene and Sumter County Cooperative. 

His campaign, Grow Greene Together, is rooted in service, sustainability, and honest leadership—committed to building a stronger future for Greene County.
